Unreliable Audio Streaming

I'm having trouble with "network stalled" and "Rebuffering Stream" in iTunes and 
rebuffering using RealPlayer and Windows Media Player when listening to Internet 
Radio.  Totally satisfactory Rev A Ti 500 w/1mb, running 10.2.2 on a cable modem 
(Adelphia) with early Airport Base at 3 bars signal strength.  All software latest rev.  
Attempting to listen to many different stations from 24kbps to 128kbps and seldom get 
more than 5 min before the stream stalls.  Does anyone have a similar problem and/or a 
fix?
