Personally, I have two scanners: one is an HP PSC 950 All-in-one and the other is a Canon LiDE 30. Both are not without their flaws, but they do both work fine under OS X. The LiDE 30, which I just recently purchased, is great because of its small size and the fact that it's USB-powered. It fits fine in my laptop bag, so easy to travel with. The software, while OS X native, doesn't seem to be the most well-designed in the world. However, it does do the main thing that I use it for exceptionally well -- make text-searchable multi-page PDFs. -- P. H. "Patch" Adams phadams at mac.com
