Install advice? Was:Titanium G4 Pros and cons

I changed the subject to make certain you'll get the advice you asked 
for. :-) I wouldn't bother about having systems on different partition. 
Install OS 9 upto 9.2.2 after you updated the firmware. (If I remember 
correct, the firmware will reply that they are not needed if they are 
already installed) I don't think you need to do the security updates if 
you then installs your 10.2 and ad the combo update for 10.2.6.

I have mine on the same partition and can start from OS 9.2.2 if I need 
to.
