FWIW, for any Canadians on the list - last I was told was that ALL laptop repairs are done down south. Every other Apple hardware issue can be done here - 'at home'. Would stand to reason that the technical support would be somewhat reflective of that - ESPECIALLY with the newest hardware.. As Murray found. Maybe the tech's in Canada are a little behind in their documentaton from Apple or troubleshooting databases because of our obvious poulation differences? I wonder if all the tech's across the globe access similar DB's or local only? Thanks for the heads up Murray, I too have, at times, found the Apple Canada support to be a little flunky.. Just like a good waiter in a restaurant (sometimes hard to come by) I prefer to hunt down a good local tech that would provide much more valuable - consistent help.
