I agree.

For music software, since most things are becoming host-based, raw CPU 
performance translates into more productivity. The current Intel/AMD 
hardware can do much more (and cheaper) than G4.

It's also looking like nothing but the dual G5 can compete against your 
mainstream current Intel/AMD computer.
