Does Mail do this to you?

Actually, I'm surprised that I haven't posted this question sooner, but 
does anyone ever send email that does not get delivered. I sent a 
proposal to a co-worker on the 23rd of this month and she just got the 
email about 30 minutes ago. Of course I had already sent over a hard 
copy when I was told that the email never came. This happens with 40% 
of email I send with Mail regardless if I use my .Mac or a POP account. 
I have absolutely no problems when it comes to getting email, just 
sending it. I remember that there was something mentioned a few weeks 
ago about problems with Mail. I should have paid more attention.
