>BTW, what is the standard for the newest Airport cards? Is it b or >g? I haven't decided which one to get yet... if Airport is g, I >might have them toss one in....while they have it open. ti 500 won't hold the new airport Xtreme card, which does b and g... only g unless you buy a card that sits in the PCMCIA slot. However, g is only beneficial if you have lots of computers in close quarters sharing a connection (like an office) or you need to transfer HUGE files across your LOCAL network (think of b as 10baseT and g as 100baseT then). The g version drops the distance to 50 feet (from 150 by the b version) and even a couple of computers will never exceed b's bandwidth using dsl or cable internet connection speeds.
