iTunes and drive space

I got an iPod (40GB) for Christmas and love it ... but I'm struggling 
with a new issue -- particularly running out of space on my TiBook. I 
have a 60GB drive in it, partitioned to three drives, but between 
music and digital photos, I'm running out of space. Can iTunes access 
music on a partition other than the startup, or better yet, access 
music split over two partitions?

I'm using iTunes 4.2, OS X 10.3.2 on my TiBook 400.
