If you need more upload bandwidth (for what ever reason), most service providers have different package options (that increase in price with increased bandwidth capability). We used to pay ~$600/month for a T1, plus we needed to have our own routing equipment on both our end and the telco's end. Now we get a commercial 2 Mbps cable connection for less than $200 per month, and all we need is a cable modem. I've never been fond of DSL because of the high overhead it puts on routers, but it's infinitely more popular than high speed cable connections because phone lines cover a greater service area than cable service does. -- Chris
