(with 10.3.9?) I (sometimes, and particularly tonight) seem to have the hanging disconnect problem back again .... :-( When I dial up, I do not get a connection and the 'disconnecting' process takes forever...... When we had this before (years ago?) we used the script: EndHangingDisconnect 1.4 which solved our problem then, but unfortunately not now. Even logging out does not stop the disconnecting process.... Restart is the only option. Anyone else seen this? The Log shows this: Thu Apr 21 23:10:43 2005 : Dialing 366 0077 Thu Apr 21 23:11:11 2005 : Modem Reliable Link Established. Thu Apr 21 23:11:11 2005 : Modem Compression Established. Thu Apr 21 23:11:14 2005 : Serial connection established. Thu Apr 21 23:11:14 2005 : Using interface ppp0 Thu Apr 21 23:11:14 2005 : Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/cu.modem Thu Apr 21 23:11:45 2005 : LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests Thu Apr 21 23:11:45 2005 : Connection terminated. Thu Apr 21 23:11:47 2005 : Serial link disconnected. That was 22 minutes ago, and 'disconnecting' is still showing in the menubar. Here goes the 3rd restart. Any iother deas ? Note that tonight I seem to have a connection problem, which sometimes (not always) ends up as the hanging disconnect. I have tried several ISp and I get the same Log entry as above. Basically it seems a timeout problem. But is there any influence I have on this? regards, Trevor
