I don't know Shawn. Dropping support for the floppy -- completely ridiculous. Abandoning all legacy input devices -- completely ridiculous. Those are things that people thought were completely ridiculous, but they weren't. For the iBook the move makes complete sense NOW. For the Powerbook, if the industry moves toward USB2 you may see it there as well. Why? Because even though not as fast, it is a lot less expensive than firewire. For now Apple will leave Firewire in the Powerbook, but all other bets are off.
