This is because I think the decision depends partly upon what you are using the Powerbook for (as well as economics, and portability issues). The use is changing partly becauae the software is changing, and partly because my work activity is changing. I now use iPhoto quite a lot, I use Keynote all the time, and with that I typically have Excel, EazyDraw, GraphicConverter, Omnigraffle Pro open as well. Plus the standards: Safari, Eudora, Retrospect, Default Folder, SpeedDownload, eyeTV. All of this adds up to a big demand on screen real-estate. I think that withoiut Exposé, I would be lost with 'just' a 15" screen. Of course, I manage, and have no complaints. But I feel that I am in this transition, such that now, for the first time, I wonder if my next Powerbook might be the 17"...... especially if present trends continue. For me right now, it is more speed that I need, rather than more screen. But a moe toa 17" wold provide upgrades on both, from where I am now, and that might represent an increasingly attractive combination. Perhaps let us see how Tiger contributes to the situation. regards, Trevor
