If you haven't thought about it already, I'd recommend that you try to obtain older software that has an upgrade path. That is, make sure if you find a bookkeeping application for OS 9, that there is an OS X version of the same application as well. If your business grows, and you have the funds to purchase a faster/"better"/new(er) machine, that you won't have to convert one bookkeeping format to another. As others have mentioned, www.versiontracker.com is a good source for finding OS 8/9 software. Keep in mind that a slower machine won't perform super fast in Photoshop CS, though a G3 PowerBook should run PS5 or 6 nicely, and be a bit more durable than a Titanium G4. John
