Problem:File Sharing Between Mac and Windows PC

Hello All

My Primary Box is a G4  Mac / Jag 10.2.6 and an ethernet Asante Router

I want to file share with a PC / Win98 using the Mac 10.2 smb 
configuration

I have downloaded Apple Care Article IDs :106471.107085,107137,107083 
and 107138: followed all the instructions, but cannot make a 
connection, either way.

I would like to make contact with  anyone that has been able to 
configure File sharing
between a  Mac and a PC via smb in Jag 10.2
