I can set the colors using the GUI interface e.g. The Terminal preferences, or with an app such as TelnetLauncher. And I see that there is AppleScript support. but is there anything I can run, say from my .login on a remote server, that will allow me to change the background color of my terminal window so I can color-code my remote sessions? I can do this with xterm escape sequences and "ANSI colors" but they are... well... garish in the extreme :) I'd be happy for something that let me do HTML-safe colors, even, or... anyway... is such a programmatic interface available? -- - Vicki Vicki Brown ZZZ Journeyman Sourceror: P.O.
