[X-SW] How to set font path with ImageMagick?

I installed ImageMagick on my Quicksilver today running OS X 10.4.8. 
Any time I do a text operation with ImageMagick I have to type in the 
full path to the font file, and that's a drag.  It looks like I can put 
enter the path for my font directory in the type.xml file, but I can't 
find any documentation about that file.  Can anyone point me in the 
right direction?
