[X-SW] Re- WHERE to place downloads

When you download an app like Firefox it is often inside a disk image.
Open the Disk image. Then drag and drop Firefox into your /
Applications (the folder named 'Applications' at the root (top) level
of your HD that OSX is installed on) folder. Close and delete the disk
image Firefox came in, then run your new copy of Firefox from your /
Applications folder. You can drag it's icon into your dock to make
launching faster later on, if you like.

If the app you download is not in a disk image just drag it or it's
enclosing folder (if it has one) into your /Applications folder.

If you're actually running out of enough space that Firefox will not
fit on your HD (Hard Drive) you're in more serious trouble. A good
rule of thumb is you should leave at least 10% of the HD with OSX
installed (often called the boot drive) on as free space. You can tell
how much percentage free space you have by doing a Get Info (Command-I
or File->Get Info) on your HD. I suspect in fact you're not running
out of space as you've not mentioned any other issues - and you'd be
having some if your boot drive was so full Firefox couldn't fit.
