embarrassed to say that I've still not installed that blessed Tiger. I finally got around to trying to back up by cloning my hard drive (with Carbon Copy Cloner) to a Seagate firewire drive, but am unable to start up from the clone. on startup the smiling face icon turns into a kind of fractured folder, if I'm remembering correctly. the system folder in the clone does not have X on it, as does the system folder in my main internal drive. anyone know what the problem is? thanks, Daniel at 3:47 AM -0400 7/31/05, Daniel Carter wrote: >at 11:38 PM, 7/30/05, Randy B.Singer wrote: > >> > System and other requirements: >>> >> > * Mac OS 8.6 / 9.X / 10.X or above (Ver.10.03,10.1,10.12) >>> >>>not sure what they're saying there, but as long as it works with >>>Tiger, and I can put a clone of my hard drive on it from where I'm at >> >now (10.1.5), I'm fine with it. >> >>It should work fine for that. > >splendid! > >> >by the way, do you know if I'd be able to purchase the Argosy kit >>>locally, here in New York City, at J&R or somewhere else in the city? >> >>I don't know.
