There is much discussion on the Apple list regarding USB and firewire cards and an iPod on a PC. So, I'm going to take the majority advise and buy a Adaptec Firewire 4300 PCI card. There are questions with regards to which USB 2.0 cards work, too. It will be up to my son to decide if he wants to keep the USB card he bought. iPods seem to work much better using firewire on a PC. I'll know more once I get the card. I'm sucking it up and buying it from Best Buy instead of waiting another couple of days and ordering online. (I'd like to enjoy the rest of my vacation time and working on PC's is not my idea of enjoying! Even if it is for my son!)
