[X4U] iTrip usage in the DFW metroplex area

Here's an article about the iTrip Mini that mentions the sticker.

I just did a google on "itrip signal boost" and found several articles 
and blogs.
I don't remember where any specific ones were, but if you search around 
there's
probably one with some more detail than this article.  Again, this 
trick may only
work on the mini.  I've never seen a new iTrip to try it myself.
