[X4U] Burning A Disk With iDVD 5.01

[revDAVE]

 When I click the burn button in iDVD 5.01 it automatically opens the DVD
writer on my internal desktop G4.  This is fine ... However, how do I get it
to burn a disk from my external DVD writer - pioneer 109 instead?

-  I tried to insert a blank disk and close the door on the Pioneer ... But
iDVD did not recognize it...

-  any ideas?
