[X4U] Powerbook screen too dark outside

I think it's just the way they are. It's really disappointing.  My  
wife's buying a new Windows laptop, and the displays on new HP and  
Dell laptops are *amazing*.  Extremely bright and crisp.  I wonder  
what Apple's problem is?
