[X4U] Editing midi

I bought a cell phone last night and downloaded some midi poly ringtones.
Some tones, like Badlands, start off great, but many have a dull 4-8 second
introduction I would like to eliminate. I can edit the sound file in many
programs, chopping off the first 8 seconds, but I have no programs that
allow me to save the files back to midi files. (The poly ringtones must be
saved as midi.)

Can anyone suggest one?
