Then, something's amiss with the original user account, usually a
preference file. Download and run Preferential Treatment and check the
user's and systems preferences. Otherwise, you'll have to copy prefs from
the original user account to the new, to get back your settings, or
reconfigure the new account, eventually deleting the original one.
