IMHO they need to keep the general descriptions as well -- when my friend calls me for help, she might not be able to boot her computer to look in the System Profiler to tell me what particular model she has -- what she *can* tell me is that her "Mirrored drive door" G4 that she got two Februaries ago won't boot. I think many people are more like my friend than like those among us who memorize their model number. :-)
