The PII refers to the architecture of the emulated chip and isn¹t an indication of the clock speed. I haven¹t used the Parallels emulator but I have used VM Ware with both Linux and Windows as the the host and guest OS and I didn¹t see a drop in performance. Of all the issues I came across while perusing the Parallels user forums, I did not see anyone complain about performance, mostly stability issues. As for the USB, I think you¹re right. Personally, it would just be an annoyance since my only 2.0 device is a thumb drive and I¹d only have to suffer through a slower data throughput. I do think that, even considering all of its limitations, this is tremendous and once the stability issues have been addressed I¹m going to be trading in my G4 PowerBook for a new MacBook... -- Someday, when the historians study how someone as accomplished as Al Gore was effectively marginalized by a party without a conscience and kept press, they're going to be amazed that any of us had opposable thumbs. - Charley Pierce
