Mark; I've used it on two different 10.3.x system to good results. As a matter of fact, the TiBook I'm writing this on, had ChangeUserShort Name used on it to change the short user name to me. I've upgraded to 10.4.6 now and I've not experienced any troubles [knock on wood!!].
