What brands?

I always put my own external drives together using a FireWire case kit.  
That way I can determine for myself which brand and model of mechanism is 
in the case (most external drive manufacturers, such as La Cie, won't 
guarantee a particular mechanism or model of mechanism), and I can choose 
a case that has the characteristics that I want.
