[X4U] iPhoto 6 (and earlier) Slideshow TIming Inconsistencies

uh.. good question.  wish I had an answer.
last time I made a slideshow was with the previous version of iPhoto  
before this last update.

I worked on the timing in iPhoto some, but noticed when I made  any  
quicktime movies they were off a little (I forget which way)
But I just kept messing with iPhoto timing until the quicktime timing  
was o.k. (when played in quicktime on the same computer)

I wouldn't mind hearing any kind of explanation on this, or others  
experience with the same.
