[X4U] Keyboard noises

Hi,

For some reason this morning (even prior to my upgrade to 10.4.5) the 
keyboard makes a noise whenever I hit a key.

I've checked the "Keyboard and Mouse" and the "Universal Access" 
sections of the System Preferences and everything seems to be as it 
should be.

The restart after upgrading to 10.4.5 made no difference.

Any ideas?
