That was probably me.  My SE/30 remains my personal file server. It sits beside a Mac II case which has no motherboard in it. The power supply runs four SCSI disks for the SE/30 and it also provides for a stay-down on power fail function for the SE/30 using the monitor power socket on the MacII shell.  This comes from an 8500. My G4 runs 10.3.9 and spends almost all of its time in Termnal.app or a BBEdit worksheet. Somewhere there is a dock but I can never remember which side it's hidden on.
