On several occasions I have migrated to newer machines simply by removing the HD containing OS X from the old machine and installing it into the new(er) machine. All have been PPCs. What advantage is there in using Migration Assistant (which I have never used)? There'll come a time when I am moving from PPC to Intel Mac. Would a system HD transplant work in that situation? Thanks.
