And I've seen bad RAM pass Apple's RAM Test app -- yet all issues went away with the removal of the third-party RAM. I still maintain keeping the original stuff around isn't a bad idea (thinking back especially to the OS X update/upgrade that "broke" some third-party RAM, and computers wouldn't even boot with it installed -- without original RAM lying about, your computer is dead in that situation). Experience, I guess. :-)
