I wouldn't think the cold itself would be a problem, but that's not my area of expertise so take it for what its worth. Personally, I'd be more worried about water condensation when going from that kind of cold to indoor temperatures. I don't know if you wear glasses, but if they're fogging over, so is your iPod.
