Look into the systems resale value, then look into what it would cost per CPU to attempt such an upgrade (3Ghz quad-cores look to cost about $1400 apiece). Also note that I said attempt, as I do not know if it is even possible to perform such an upgrade. There is a good chance that Apple has made it so that you can't do the upgrade.
