Not just Microsoft. I have had an opinion about Macs that was similar.

Before I bought my MBP17C2D, I looked at Tiger which came with it.

It was the first time I had really looked at a Mac since about System  
8 or 9.

So the jump forwad was huge to Tiger.

and now I have a MacBook Pro 17" and Leopard.
