[X4U] Mount other Mac, get offscreen window

I have 2 Mac Minis on Tiger which I network via ethernet router/hub, 
and the whole rig works GREAT.

when I mount one of them onto the other, I get a window open in column 
view, but which is dragged off screen so that you can only see the top  
part of the window.

I vaguely remember doing that, dragging that window downward to see 
something that was behind it, but why, O why am I apparently stuck with 
that for E-ternity?!

seems the Macs want to keep "remembering" a thing which I'd rather they 
forget, but I don't know how to correct this particular memory.

any thoughts?
