I wanted to thank everyone who replied. Sorry this took a while, but I had a couple of difficulties along the way. Anyway, on to the summary. 1. I ripped the DVD with Mac the Ripper. This produced a directory with (2) sub-directories, AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS. These directories are playable with the Apple DVD player. 2. I converted these directories to a DVD image using a product called DVD Imager. 3. once I had a DVD image, I needed to burn it. I wasn't paying attention, but my DVD image was over 6 Gb. I had to go to the store and purchase dual layer media that could hold all of the data. Standard single layer DVD's only hold up to 4.7 Gb. 4. Finally, I used /Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility to burn the image to my media. I know that many people suggested Toast. I have used it in the past, and have an (old) legal license from the MacOS 8 & 9 days. The amount of this type of activity I do is so limited that I really couldn't justify an upgrade to the current version of Toast. I hope that this summary is able to assist someone else. Again, thanks for all of the emails. Jerry K Jerry K wrote: > A friend just returned from Europe and gave me a couple of DVD's as a > gift.
