[X4U] Kindle and iBooks

When reading iBooks it is fine for awhile. Then flips from portrait to  
landscape mode and then freezes. I have to quit and then restart.  
Happens again. When reading with Kindle no problem and much faster.  
Using iPod touch 4.02. Anyone else experiencing this?
