[X4U] No longer internet on iPad

I can get a screen where I can see DHCP, BootP and Static and also  
HTTP Proxy (which is off)
Can I do something there to make an internet connection?

It is so that for days now that I get a message that Airport (on the  
iMac) has a self-assigned IP address and can not make contact to the  
net.
The 3G should be able isn't it?  If I check the IP address from the  
airport it starts with 169.....
