I installed an onscreen manual for a new Canon printer.  When I double clicked I got the message that DVD Studio unexpectedly quitted.
Lucky me (I've 10.6.8 on Mac Pro) my wife has 10.5.8 on her iMac.  I installed it there and found out that it needed Help Viewer to open.
I found it in the Library CoreServices.  It now opens.  I'm flabbergasted why it was that DVD Studio was selected to open it.
