I don't believe those are scratches, just oil from your fingertips that is being transfered to the screen because of bad design on Apple's part, ie not leaving enough clearance between the screen and the keys. You can remove it using a microfiber cloth. I guess it is possible that the screen is being pressed into the keys when you pack the tiBook or carry it so I might be wrong in assuming just closing it causes the contact.
