Yes.  IceBooks debuted in May 2001 with the dual USB 500 megahertz model 
and were the first non-clamshell iBooks Apple made (and continues to 
make, with increased megahertz models).

Anything that opens gif files such as Photoshop, Gif Converter, almost 
all photo applications and software that comes with digital cameras, etc. 
 Note that unless you paid for QuickTime Pro you cannot edit gif files 
with the QuickTime Viewer app.
