[P1] Monitor broke! Should have gotten a warranty

I got the ibook in May, the second month it was out
and a passd up the chance to get the three year, 389
dollar warranty.

I have used my ibook everyday, but never dropped it or
damage it in any way, but now the monitor will turn
off if you open the ibook by more the 20 degrees
(making it impossible to use).

They say it would cost $534 just for the replaced
monitor or I could buy a Video out cable and hook it
up to regular Mac/PC monitor.

Anyways, I regret now for not taking the advice
offered here........because all I got is an expense
10G storage device.....
