Why not? It isn't working right. Actually they might experience the 
same problem so you shouldn't assume they might not.

Hopefully you have documented these problems, when they occurred, etc. 
Apple can fix it by replacing the drive without having to experience 
the problem. You will have to be insistent.

The next time it dies, that is the perfect time to send it in.
