BTW, if this guy is moving to Macintosh, how much of his old stuff is 
he going to want to take with him? If it's just the documents and 
pictures/mp3s, you can probably easily help him move it over yourself 
by setting up a simple Ethernet network. Or he could burn a couple of 
CDs.

Getting the old email over is a bit more of a chore, but Apple has a 
page dedicated to this: check the "Switch" section of the apple.com 
website for advice.

You might also mention Detto's $60 tool "Move2Mac" as an option. I 
personally think it's hideously overpriced (try about half that Detto) 
but it seems to work more or less as advertised and for some people the 
hassle-free aspect is nice.
