[P1] removing menu items

Some of the items (the clock, the battery display, your Internet 
Connection status) you can switch off under the appropriate panes of 
System Preferences. You can rearrange them by pressing the Command key 
and dragging the icons; you might be able to remove some of them this 
way, as well (by dragging them off the menu bar).
