[P1] dead LCD...boo hoo

Coming into this very late because... my 12" 700 iceBook is away at 
Apple because of a blue vertical line all of the way down the screen 
about a third of the way over from the left.  I haven't been checking 
my mail as much as my desktop computer is much less conveniently 
located (not in my bed).
