[P1] To Partition or...! Virtual Memory

Many people have encountered just this very problem.

As I understand it, OS X starts to nerf the least-important files on 
the boot drive to obtain more space or the VM - your preference files.

If you ever have a problem with numerous programs forgetting your 
preferences, this could be the culprit. Check the available space on 
the boot partition.
