Hi, Pat,

I didn't lose any apps when I moved up. It has been ages, but as I 
recall, things speeded up and it crashed less often. 
I will leave it on 9.2.2 and get a newer iBook before going to X. I 
will still use my Tangerine for work. It is that rugged! Dropped hard 
a few times and just keeps chugging. Gets me through the day on 
battery and I only use AppleWorks 6 for work, and that runs great on 
9.2.2.
